If you’re a regular reader, you’ve probably deduced my love for most things Target. My mom and I love shopping there as there are always deals to be had. Moreover, I have this love for One Spot (aka, the 1-3 dollar Target section) because I find a lot of neat stuff to craft with there. I don’t post many reviews on this site, but sometimes I have to make exceptions. Enter Target Cartwheel – a new coupon system offered by Target.
First of all, it’s easily accessible. You can download it on your phone, register with your Facebook or Target.com login, have it with you when you shop, find deals while shopping and just have your unique barcode scanned upon checkout (of course, with your deals on your Cartwheel app). It’s also easy to do this via your computer or tablet – you can add your deals while on your computer and your cartwheel list would automatically update on your phone – you’ll only have to show the barcode during checkout. Or print the barcode at home and scan it at checkout. Handy, ain’t it?
Moreover, there are a ton of coupons (apparently, over 700 of them!) that you can find – so whether you’re buying grocery items, apparel or any other – you’ll always find something to save on. There are always new deals every time. For example, until the 8th of February, they have a deal for One Spot – regular dollar items are just .80 cents each now. That I will avail because as I have told you earlier – there are a lot of craft/repurposable/pretty items there most of the time.
|You can also scan items in-store with the built-in barcode scanner|
for deals on that item (if there are any).
I love the fact that I can use this without having to look for coupons before going to Target, because really, most of the time coupon hunting is a bother for me. Although if you love couponing, there’s no problem because you can stack the Cartwheel offers with any other Target discounts, manufacturer’s coupons and your REDcard discount. So if that’s your interest, you’ll save even more.
They also have this fun feature – unlocking badges in the app. Unlocking these badges will give you more spots on your Cartwheel list (as you only start with 10). It’s almost like a game it amuses me.
The only thing I don't like about it is that these deals are only available in-store and not online. Although I rarely shop on Target.com, so it doesn't bother me so much. Anyway, if you’re sold with this idea and you don’t have the app yet, download the Target Cartwheel app here.
