DIY: Tiered Flower Dessert Stand with Chinet® Cut Crystal® PLUS A Giveaway

I'm dreaming of flowers and foliage in this Spring Party decor! Throwing parties is fun but the clean-up after is such a hassle. But with inexpensive paper flowers, store-bought pastries, cookies and munchies and pretty disposable tableware - this was a breeze to set-up and clean up after. Not only that but it doesn't look inexpensive as well, don't you think? It's a stylish but convenient way to throw small get-togethers this Spring or even this coming Mother's Day!

I made these super cute flower-embellished dessert stands really easy. Here's how:

Supplies:
  • Different colors of cardstock
  • Glitter
  • Glue gun
  • Die-cutter
  • Chinet® Cut Crystal® 14 oz plastic cup
  • Chinet® Cut Crystal® 10" plastic plate

Start by making your flowers - I purchased my rolled flower template here, but you can easily use other templates (using other die-cutters) or even cut them by hand. I also cut some brown sprigs and green leaves (not pictured here). Add glitter to the middle of your flowers by squeezing some hot glue and then drizzling your gold glitter in, making sure to tap out the excess once the middle is all covered.

Next, take your Chinet® Cut Crystal® plastic cup and apply hot glue to the bottom, following the edge. Line it up to the bottom of your Chinet® Cut Crystal® plastic plate (using the dots they have in the middle for perfect lining) and hold in place until the glue is dry.

Attach flowers one by one, starting with the biggest, and adding the smaller ones after. Attach sprigs and green leaves as well and you are done!

For a tiered look, I also made a small stand using the 9 oz Chinet® Cut Crystal® plastic cups and 7" Chinet® Cut Crystal® plastic plates, and just put it on top of the bigger stand. To cover the unsightly glue marks, you can place a doily or something on the 10" stand before topping it with your 7" stand.

I love the way it looks, even when it's bare. Of course it's best with all the desserts on it, but I am thinking it would be great as a jewelry holder too - don't you think? I just adore how Chinet® Cut Crystal® tableware have that unique swirly design - so pretty to look at and it complements any table setting or decor.
The Chinet® Cut Crystal® line includes matching plates, cups, cutlery and stemless wine glasses. I love that they're perfectly coordinated with each other so people who have OCD tendencies (like me) don't get bothered! Here are more details from my Spring Party with Chinet®!

I hung up white lanterns and used a wicker basket as accent decor. Again, it was a simple set-up but I think it looked great.

My favorite Chinet® Cut Crystal® cups (the ones I always buy) were used here as munchies cups since not everyone likes sweet stuff, or if you're like me, you want sweet and salty at the same time.

The new Chinet® Cut Crystal® stemless wine glasses look really chic as well, and I'm thinking it has tons of DIY options - especially for gatherings.

Last but not the least, I decided to whip up some napkin rings to make everything look fancier! Don't forget to check the blog to get the low-down on how I made those, plus a free cut file for the brown sprig! I think besides the tiered cake stand this is my second favorite element of the party.
The Chinet® Cut Crystal® website has tons of other inspired decoration, craft and recipe ideas to make your next gathering perfectly coordinated. Make sure you check it out for more inspiration!

  59. I hate using stuff you just throw in the trash and never do use disposable anything, so having these on hand would be great. I am betting they are dishwasher safe and can be used over and over again and then recycled at the end of their life. Would save me from feeling badly about using disposables and also save my stoneware plates from possibly getting broken outside! win-win!
